A line clipper (also called nipper or line nipper) is a compact cutting tool anglers use to trim tag ends after tying knots or to cut tippet and leader material. It gives a clean, close cut and replaces awkward alternatives like teeth or bulky pliers. Nippers come as simple snips or as multi-function tools with hook-eye cleaners, bead chains or retractors.
RTI’s stainless steel line clippers are small, standard mini size is 50 × 10 mm for compact carry. The clippers use stainless steel for corrosion resistance and long edge life. The tool includes a hanging hole for retail display or lanyard use and a secure locking mechanism for safe storage.
We offer blister packaging and OEM services, including custom color and logo engraving.

Advantages of Stainless Steel line Clippers
- Anti-Rust and Long-Term Use: Made of stainless steel, the clippers resist rust and remain durable even after long-term fishing use.
- Hanging Hole for Easy Access: Designed with a small hole so it can be attached to a key chain, lanyard, or tackle bag for quick access.
- Sharp Blade for Clean Cuts: The sharpened cutting edge trims fishing lines smoothly and reduces frayed ends when tying knots.
- Compact Size, Easy Storage: At only 50 × 10 mm, the mini clipper takes up little space and can be stored in pockets, tackle boxes, or retail blister packs.
Stainless Steel line Clipper Manufacturing Process
- Design & tooling: Engineers finalize the mini nipper drawings and prepare jigs for consistent assembly.
- Material sourcing: We buy grade-appropriate stainless steel and spring wire. Incoming materials undergo hardness and surface checks.
- Cutting parts & CNC/stamping: Body and blade blanks are stamped or CNC-milled to tight tolerances to ensure consistent fit.
- Blade heat treatment & grinding: Blades receive heat treatment, precision grinding and edge honing for durable sharpness.
- Handle finishing: If a handle grip is required, the body undergoes PVC dipping or coating for improved grip and comfort.
- Assembly & spring fitting: Blades, springs and locking latches are assembled on dedicated lines with fixtures to lock tolerances.
- Surface finishing & anti-corrosion: Parts are polished, passivated or coated depending on the model. Special finishes for saltwater resistance are applied when requested.
- Functional testing & QC: Each batch sees cutting-cycle tests, spring tension checks and salt-spray inspections. Traceable QC records are kept for bulk orders.
Q1: What is the MOQ for custom logo or color orders?
A: MOQ is 500 pieces for this mini stainless steel clipper. For larger custom programs, MOQ may vary. Contact sales with your specs for precise pricing.
Q2: Can I get samples before placing a bulk order?
A: Yes. Samples are available on request. Please submit your logo and packaging requirements so we can quote the sample cost and lead time.
Q3: What packaging options do you offer for wholesale orders?
A: Standard blister pack. We also provide custom carded blister, multi-packs and bulk cartons with private-label printing.
Q4: Will these clippers cut braided lines or just monofilament?
A: The mini stainless model cleanly trims mono and fluorocarbon. For heavy braid, we recommend models with heat-treated or tungsten blades—ask us for braid-rated versions.
Q5: How long is the lead time for a 5,000-piece order?
A: Typical lead time is around 45 days, but final timing depends on customization and order queue. Confirm when you request a formal quotation.
Q6: Do you support OEM/branding and product testing reports?
A: Yes. We provide logo engraving, color matching and packaging customization. For bulk orders we include QC records and can run agreed tests (salt spray, cutting cycles) per AQL.
