Portable fishing pliers are compact hand tools designed for anglers and tackle shops. They combine functions such as split-ring opening, hook removal, line cutting and light crimping. Their small size fits pockets and tackle boxes. Many models include a spring-loaded jaw and a safety lock for secure storage.

RTI’s 8.5cm Aluminum Line Clipper body is made from lightweight aluminum and the cutter uses tungsten steel for clean braid cuts. The tool includes a fine/coarse serrated mouth for handling plumbum blocks and a split-ring tip for quick ring changes.

A spring keeps the tool open for one-hand use and a locked buckle secures it in storage. Available colors: black, red, blue; OEM branding and packaging are supported.

8.5cm Portable Line Cutter Pliers Manufacturing process

1. Design & Specification: Each model starts with CAD drawings confirming the 8.5 cm length, jaw angle, and handle curve. Color codes, logo position, and packaging are finalized before sampling. Pre-production samples are made within 5–7 days.
2. Material Sourcing: RTI uses 6061-T6 aluminum for handles and tungsten steel (HRA 88-90) for cutters. Springs are made from 65 Mn steel and tested for 10,000 cycles. All materials are hardness-tested and inspected for surface finish.
3. CNC Machining & Stamping: Handles are CNC-milled to ±0.05 mm tolerance for hinge alignment. Cutters are stamped and ground to 0.2 mm edge thickness, then matched manually to ensure full closure.
4. Heat Treatment & Finishing: Tungsten blades are heat-treated at 880 °C, tempered at 220 °C, and polished with 400-grit belts. Each is tested to cut 0.25 mm PE braid cleanly.
5. Surface Treatment: Aluminum handles are bead-blasted and anodized to 15 μm. Steel parts get a zinc coating that passes a 48-hour salt-spray test for corrosion resistance.
6. Assembly & Testing: Each unit is hand-assembled with spring, cutter, and lock buckle. The rivet is pressed at 1.5 tons. Functional checks include braid cutting, spring return (≤ 1.2 kgf), and lock operation.
7. QC & Packaging: Random checks follow AQL 1.0 standards for size, finish, and tension. Units are packed in color boxes or bulk cartons (100 pcs / ctn, ≈ 12 kg) with OEM labels.
8. Shipping & Support: Lead time: 50–60 days after sample approval. Shipments are palletized for export, with spare parts.
