Manufacturing process

1. Design & prototyping: CAD models for housing, clamp, and internal cradle. Functional prototype tested for counting accuracy and ergonomics.
2. Tooling: Produce injection molds for ABS housing and clamp. Prepare jigs for assembly.
3. Component procurement: Order ABS resin, small metal parts (threaded knob, screws), rubber pads, LEDs, LCD modules, SMT components, and button batteries.
4. Plastic molding: Injection-mold the ABS parts, then deburr and inspect for molding defects.
5. PCB & electronics: PCB assembly (SMT), install LCD, backlight LED, and switches. Test electrical function on the line tester.
6. Sub-assembly: Fit rollers, springs, tension knob, and rod clip to the housing. Install the PCB and battery contacts.
7. Calibration & testing: Run each unit on a test rig to check counting accuracy across line speeds. Test reset, light, lock switch, and battery contacts.
8. Quality control: Visual inspection, drop test, and functional checks. Units that fail tests go to rework.
9. Packaging: Place each unit in clam shell packaging, add manual and labels. For B2B/OEM orders add private-label inserts if requested.
10. Shipping & documentation: Batch packing, include inspection reports, and ship per customer terms.
