A 6 inch fillet knife is a compact, flexible blade made for filleting and portioning small to medium fish. Its length gives control and precision when cutting close to bones. Anglers and professional processors use 6″ fillet knives for freshwater and nearshore catches because the blade is long enough to make clean slices yet short enough for tight cuts.

RTI’s 6″ Fillet Knife pairs a food-grade stainless steel blade with a PP+TPR non-slip handle. The knife weighs ~100 g and comes in Blue/Black, Grey/Black or OEM colours. It ships with a patented sheath that includes a built-in sharpener, hook sharpener and hanging hook — a compact, practical set for boat and shore use. The blade has optional serrated or non-stick coatings.

PP+TPR Non-Slip Handle of 6 inch Fillet Knife

  • Enduring Sharpness: The blade uses food-grade stainless steel designed for good edge retention. Sharper edges reduce rework and save time in processing.
  • Corrosion Resistance: Stainless construction and optional anti-rust coating limit saltwater corrosion. Proper care extends service life for commercial use.
  • Safety Finger Guard & Non-Slip Handle: PP+TPR handle plus an integrated finger guard improve grip and reduce slips when wet—important for busy deck or processing environments.
  • Patented Multi-Function Sheath: Sheath includes a knife sharpener, hook sharpener and hanging hook. This reduces accessory needs and streamlines storage on boats and racks.
  • Serrated Blade Option: Serrated models cut through tougher skin and small bone structures faster—useful for mixed-species processing.
  • OEM & Wholesale Ready: RTI supports logo engraving, custom packaging, and bulk pricing. MOQ and production options suit distributors and resellers.

6 inch Fillet Knife Manufacturing Process

Fish Fillet Knife Manufacturing Process

  1. Material Selection:
We use food-grade stainless steel for the blade and durable PP+TPR for the handle. All materials are tested for strength and corrosion resistance.

  2. Blade Shaping:
The blade is cut and ground into a 6-inch profile, then polished for a smooth edge and proper flexibility for filleting.

  3. Heat Treatment:
Each blade is heat-treated to increase hardness and maintain sharpness while keeping good flexibility.

  4. Surface Finishing:
Optional non-stick or anti-rust coatings are applied, followed by final polishing for a clean and smooth surface.

  5. Handle Molding & Assembly:
Handles are injection-molded from PP+TPR and assembled with the blade. Each handle includes a finger guard for safe use.

  6. Sheath Assembly:
The patented sheath is produced with built-in knife and hook sharpeners. Every knife is fitted with its matching sheath.

  7. Quality Check:
All knives go through inspections for sharpness, handle fit, and corrosion resistance before packing.

  8. Packing & Delivery:
Knives are packed according to buyer requirements — single box, OEM packaging, or bulk cartons — ready for global shipment.

Q1: What is the MOQ for custom or OEM orders?

A: MOQ depends on decoration and packaging. For stock colors and simple logo laser engraving we can usually accept 500 pcs. For special tooling, printed boxes, or private molds the MOQ is higher. Contact sales with your spec for an exact quote.

Q2: What lead time can I expect wholesale order?

A: Typical production lead time is 50–60 days after artwork and deposit are confirmed. Exact times depend on current factory schedule and custom requirements.

Q3: Can you apply our logo and custom packaging?

A: Yes. We offer laser engraving, pad printing, and custom boxes. Provide artwork (vector file preferred) and desired packaging layout; we’ll confirm tooling needs and any extra lead time.

Q4: Do you ship samples for quality checks?

A: We can supply pre-production or stock samples. Sample fee applies for custom-decorated units; this fee can often be credited against the first bulk order.

Q5: How do you pack wholesale shipments?

A: Common options: single unit in polybag + inner box, then x units per export carton; or fully printed retail boxes per unit. We prepare export cartons with cushioning for sea freight if required.

Q6: What warranty or post-sale support do you offer?

A: We inspect each batch and provide a standard manufacturing defect policy. For commercial buyers, we can discuss extended warranty and return procedures in the supply agreement.

Q7: Are there any certifications available for the blade material?

A: We can provide material test reports (MTRs) or supplier certificates on request. If you need specific food-contact or compliance certificates, tell us at RFQ so we can confirm supplier documentation.
